I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly University. While in university, I dedicated my time to the Cal Poly CubeSat Lab, working on micro-satellite buses and ground support hardware. I led the electrical engineering team in my last year to success with multiple successful customer payload integrations.
While in college, I supported myself with a small audio electronics repair program, expanding my skills to reverse engineering and repair of consumer audio electronics. This experience built skills in parsing large and often obfuscated schematic designs, as well as drafting schematics and systems diagrams in order to successfully repair undocumented hardware.
After graduating with my degree, I joined the Electrical Engineering team at Umbra Space. Growing with the company from 20 employees to over 200, I applied my degree testing and integrating satellite electronics systems from proposal to launch. Over four years, with hardware designs operating on eight functional SAR buses, I learned quickly, growing from a Junior to a Senior Spacecraft Avionics Engineer.
My time with Umbra Space exposed me to standard industry processes, stringent testing standards, and a wealth of design and debugging knowledge. With on-time delivery of 25+ successful PCB projects, I became a core member of a small but functional Electrical engineering team. I was instrumental in the completion of a novel spacecraft avionics system, the associated firmware and test infrastructure. More recently functioning as a development engineer on a series of external products including a highly manufacturable reaction wheel, sun sensor, and power management system.
I started Drewry Electronics Design Services to bring these skills to a more diverse group of companies, focused on a more diverse set of technical and team challenges. Please reach out to me if you or your company has a product requiring these services. I am happy to evaluate scope of work and possible paths to success with new customers at no charge.
